A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH to Support Danzig on North American Tour

A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH have confirmed that they will be hitting the road this fall supporting Danzig.  APHND will appear alongside Texas Hippie Coalition and Butcher Babies on all dates.  The tour is set to kick off October 8th in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and run through October 31st in San Francisco, CA.  More dates may be added shortly.  Tickets go on sale for fan club members today and for the general public on Friday August 23rd and Saturday August 24th

A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH released their sophomore album Lay My Soul to Waste earlier this Spring via Steamhammer/SPV. Once again the artwork was commissioned by Sam Shearon, who is also responsible for artwork on the band's first release And Hell Will Follow MeLay My Soul to Waste can be ordered on Amazon on both CD and LP and digitally via iTunes.

On the surface, A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH are impressive. But you'll want to dig deeper and immerse yourself in all the sonic and lyrical layers, because the band isn't afraid to plume the depths of darkness that humanity is capable of.  It's murky stuff, but someone has to do it.

Sal Abruscato and Matt Brown have followed 2011's incredible introduction And Hell Will Follow Mewith Lay My Soul to Waste, which keeps the band's patented signature formula of slow, deliberate sludge and head-down doom intact and as flawlessly executed as ever.

Think Alice in Chains, only harder, angrier and with a more perverse view of the world, as if they were reared in a row house in Bensonhurst, as opposed to the rainy landscape of Seattle, all the while feasting on a steady diet of Black Sabbath records.

A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH arrived with And Hell Will Follow Me. They have firmly implanted their roots in the metal scene with Lay My Soul to Waste. It's a metal album that headbangers who enjoy a walk on the darker side of life will end up revering and responding to.

HUNTRESS Announce North American Tour Dates With Danzig!

HUNTRESS have confirmed they will be touring late summer with Danzig as he celebrates his 25th Anniversary with Doyle.  These tour dates kick off immediately following the band's run with the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival, and Heavy MTL Festival in Montreal, Canada.  The tour starts August 13th in Bethlehem, PA, and runs through August 31st in Tempe, AZ.  A complete list of dates can be found below.

HUNTRESS vocalist Jill Janus commented on the upcoming tour with Danzig:

"HUNTRESS is honored and thrilled to be the opening act for Danzig's summer 25th anniversary tour with Doyle! I speak for all my bandmates when I say Danzig and the Misfits were immensely influential during our angsty teenage years. I'm taking a time machine back to high-five and freak out with my thirteen year old self! This rules!"

HUNTRESS has generated a massive amount of buzz since the release of their debut album Spell Eater in 2012. The follow up to last year's kill, Starbound Beast, has been released and is available now via Napalm Records. The album is available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon and in Best Buy stores in the US.

The band recently filmed their music video for "Zenith" from their new album Starbound Beast.  An exclusive trailer has been posted and can be viewed HEREThe spectacular video was directed by Phil Mucci, whose video for HIGH ON FIRE's "Fertile Green" was named best video of 2012 by Revolver. Look for the video to receive its exclusive premiere via Bloody Disgusting soon.

HUNTRESS are taking part in the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival.  In addition to performing every day, vocalist Jill Janus will host the first ever Shred-Meister guitar competition.  Festival attendees can go to the Jägermeister tents on site and audition for a chance to shred for 10 seconds on the main stage. Each day, one of the 10 finalists will win a custom  Jägermeister guitar from Schecter, and the overall winner at the end of the tour will win a  custom Jägermeister full stack and head courtesy of Peavey Electronics.

Starbound Beast was recorded at Hobby Shop Studios in Los Angeles, CA, working with famed producer Zeuss (Shadows Fall, Hatebreed, Agnostic Front).  The artwork  for  Starbound Beast  was created once again by Vance Kelly (Slayer, Ghost B.C., Mastodon).

HUNTRESS was spawned from the preternatural union of Jill Janus with underground metal bands Professor and Dark Black. They thrive on thundering drums, heavy riffs, spectral solos and catchy choruses that come from the band's musical concoction of occult science and bong rips. HUNTRESS remains true to the roots of melodic heavy metal with a penchant for thrash, death and black metal.
