Pre-Orders Available Now For DEEP SWELL's Debut Album Featuring Tim Sult of CLUTCH

Lore of the Angler October 15th via Weathermaker Music
DEEP SWELL is a true rock band rising from the banks of the Potomac River near the historic town of Shepherdstown, WV.   Now with their sound crafted, their first album Lore of the Angler is set to be released on Maryland Rockers CLUTCH's record label Weathermaker Music on October 15, 2013.  In addition to being released on CLUTCH's label, CLUTCH guitarist Tim Sult is a member of the band. With a powerful female lead vocalist and precise rhythmic force, their sound is a mix of riff-based rock, psychedelia and mysterious poetic lyrics.
Lore of the Angler is available for pre-order now from the Weathermaker Music Store.  Pre-order your copy at http://www.indiemerch.com/weathermaker
Years of friendship and mutual appreciation for each other's talents brought guitarist Tim Sult into collaboration with drummer Jesse Shultzaberger and bassist Logan Kilmer.   Sult earned his stripes as the guitarist and one of the founding members of the popular rock band, Clutch.   Shultzaberger is a versatile drummer who currently tours with the Americana band, The Woodshedders.   Kilmer, who honed his technique and methods with Noetic Pull, plays five-string with a smooth bass style to the depth of which helped spawn the band's name.    At the beginning of 2012 they met Briena Pearl and invited her to join the trio.   Pearl, a lifelong student of voice, theater, and dance, quickly proved the sheer force of her talent as a singer and songwriter, thus establishing an instant chemistry with the band and a clear direction for their emerging sound.   With this final addition in place DEEP SWELL's dynamic sound was forged.
In February 2013, the band recorded Lore of the Angler at Magpie Cage Recording Studio in Baltimore, MD.   Three months later, they were signed with Weathermaker Music, with the label overseeing distribution, touring and publicity for the album starting this fall.   The current is pulling hard and for Deep Swell the tale is just beginning.

DEEP SWELL have scheduled a handful of dates supporting the release of Lore of the Angler, including a CD release party set of October 19th Shepherdstown, WV at Opera House Live.  Following that show the band will out through October 23rd with Lionize providing support.  A complete list of dates is below.

TesseracT - Launch Video For "Nocturne" Continue Heavy Touring

TesseracT have posted their video for the track "Nocturne", taken from their critically acclaimed album, "Altered State". The video, directed by Ben Thornley for Sitcom Soldiers, can be seen here:

The band comments on the video: "As we haven't taken part in our promo videos for a while we felt now was the time to make an appearance. But, we also wanted to create a journey with the video that was similar to the journey portrayed by the music. A pretty straightforward step from the night, what it hides and the fear it generates, into the reassurance and safety of the dawn. We have always really liked the idea of creating silhouettes (we tried to something similar with our first video, "Deception"), so we decided upon using back lights for the majority of the video, which is then reversed when the feeling of the music changes towards the end of the track. We feel the guys at Sitcom Soldiers have really captured the mood of the song, and also produced a video that draws you in."

Ben Thornley who produced the video for Sitcom Soldiers: "Working with TesseracT for us was about capturing something which did a great song justice with a memorable performance, whilst providing an equally provocative atmospheric narrative. The band naturally looked great and the creative process went very smoothly and shows in the final video."

TesseracT are currently on a US tour with Katatonia, Cult of Luna and Intronaut and then immediately venture off in a headlining run with Scale the Summit throughout North America. GWAR ENDORSES SUPER BOWL PETITION, ANNOUNCES RUN OF HOLIDAY DATES

"Madness at the Core of Time" Tour Kicks off October 2nd

After a week and over 35,000 signatures, Antarctic overlords GWAR finally have officially reacted to the petition started by Jeff Cantrell of Morehead, Kentucky on Change.org to have GWAR play the Super Bowl Halftime Show.  The petition can be signed at Change.org/GWARBOWL

"It has long been the joy of GWAR to submit the human race to any number of hideous tortures, and I can't think of anything more horrible than you having to watch acts like The Black-Eyed Peas and Bruno Mars perform. So the temptation to ignore this is great! But then you start thinking about all of the people that who have never experienced GWAR before, and will be forced to do so if we do get the gig, well, at that point my colossal mega-ego kicks in and I am all over it."

After a long and wet fart, Oderus continued..."I really don't think we should be limited to playing the halftime show...I am offering GWAR as an actual team that could complete in the NFL. Think of the titanic struggle involved as the NFL submits their best players, hell, we could play against all the teams at once and still emerge victorious. For too long has the NFL ignored the obvious fact that the players should be naked, blind-folded and armed with battle axes, that land mines should litter the field and whalers should hurl harpoons randomly from the stands. GWAR is throwing our entire cosmic weight (and we are fairly hefty) behind this petition, and command all of our followers, their families, and indeed anybody who has ever existed to sign this fucking thing, and in fact for those who have already signed it to create multiple fake email addresses and sign it again!"

And now to top it all off, today GWAR is ready to bring everyone a little holiday cheer with a select number of shows this December.   That's right it's Christmas Time with Santa Oderus.  These three shows are set for December 27th in New York at Irving Plaza, December 28th in New Haven, CT at Toad's Place and finally a show in Richmond, VA on December 29th at The National.  Tickets for all three shows go on sale this Friday.

In support of Battle Maximus,GWAR will be heading out this fall on the  "Madness at the Core of Time" tour.  The tour, which features a completely brand-new show full of slavering creatures and deserving victims, is set to kick off October 2nd in Columbus, Ohio and runs through November 17th in Washington, DC.  GWAR shall be joined by deathcore heavyweights and label-mates Whitechapel, Richmond, VA thrashers Iron Reagan (featuring Municipal Waste singer Tony Foresta) and A Band of Orcs (who are actually a band of Orcs).

GWAR's Battle Maximus features twelve brand new tracks that not only honor their departed ally, but tells the story of GWAR's latest struggle against what may be their greatest enemy yet...the insidious "Mr. Perfect", who has travelled through time itself to steal the power of GWAR--the power of immortality, and use this power to mutate the human race into his twisted vision of what the "perfect" human should be. Once again GWAR finds themselves as the only thing standing between the human race and the latest super-powered shithead bent on the destruction of GWAR and the enslavement of their worshippers.
The title track from Battle Maximus is streaming HERE.
