AUROCH Announce Release Date For Debut Album 'From Forgotten Worlds'

Spawned from Vancouver’s underground back in 2008, Lovecraftian death metal trio Auroch whom are currently on their 'Canadian Abomination Tour' are on a mission to give Canadian extreme metal traditions the respect they deserve, bringing them to the countless maniacs always anticipating the next epic death metal assault.

Following a number of smaller releases, Auroch will finally be unleashing its first full-length album 'From Forgotten Worlds' on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 and is available for pre-order on the bands bandcamp at the following link.

“We can barely wait to unleash these 8 hymns dedicated to condemnation and time collapse. This is death metal violence at its most relentless.” says vocalist / guitarist Seb Montesi.
Showcasing the band’s metamorphoses from thrash metal band into a full-fledged death metal assault, the debut full-length album is raw, relentless and tapping into a musical current of the wrath of Lovecraft’s Ancient Ones. Any and all who question or condemn modern conventions should sympathize with the ideologies and mythos provided. Fans of barbaric blasting and technical shredding should associate with the musicality.

The first same titled single from the eight track grinder was released earlier this month and can be listened to at the following link below.

RAVEN LORD Announces New Keyboardist and Drummer

Multinational metallers RAVEN LORD have announced the addition of keyboardist “Pontus Larsson (Vindictiv, Firecracker)” and drummer “Henrik Hedman (Celestial Decay, Last Kingdom)” to the group’s ranks.

RAVEN LORD are rapidly gaining a reputation for being the most exciting new Heavy Metal band on the planet. As they near completion of their debut album, they are ready to unveil two new heavyweight band members. The line-up features: Csaba Zvekan – Lead Vocals, Stefan Lindholm – Lead Guitar, Jamie Mallender – Bass Guitar, Pontus Larsson – Keyboards, Henrik Hedman – Drums

Jamie Mallender (Bass), “Make no mistake, we have made an album that’s gonna smack you in the face with both fists! This is the record that has been missing from the Metal scene for far too many years. But, despite the obvious anger and power of this music, there’s a lot of melody and harmony in there and we wanted to bring in a keyboard player that loved Metal, to compliment the melodic side, but not water things down or get too Wakeman on our asses. Meet Pontus Larsson, who has filled this role perfectly, he’s done exactly what we wanted him to and we are absolutely thrilled to have him onboard.”
Pontus Larsson (Vindictiv, Firecracker), “I was in the studio recording an album with Vindictiv when I was asked to join Raven Lord. I was kind of busy, but after I listened to the songs and checked out the band members it only took me 1 second to say yes! I’m proud to be a part of the band! It’s great to play with all these talented musicians. See ya out there! Rock on! The Lord of keys!”
The band has also been searching for a world class, powerhouse drummer, with the right chops and staggering technical ability to make a truly devastating rhythm section statement with this album. Enter Henrik Hedman, from Järvsö, a small village in the southern part of “Norrland”- Sweden, who has previously played with the bass guitar virtuoso Magnus Rosen.
Overjoyed at the new addition, Csaba Zvekan (Vocals) had this to say, “Henrik Hedman’s future is pretty clear he will be a big player in the music industry. We are fortunate to have him on board with Raven Lord!”
Henrik Hedman (Celestial Decay, Last Kingdom) is just as excited about the alliance, “I feel a great honor and exaltation at having been invited to the Raven Lord family. My fellow musicians are all wonderful people, extremely talented in their art and the creativity is overwhelming! No bullshit, this is an old dream come true! The Raven has spread its wings, and it’s heading your way! The Raven Lord of Thunder.”
RAVEN LORD are currently adding the finishing touches to the first album. and brace yourself for a killer of a Metal album heading your way soon!

I AM I Find A Drummer

Breaking news from I AM I.

We are very pleased to announce that I AM I can now confirm that the exceptionally talented Phil Martini (Down & Outz with Joe Elliott, Tokyo Dragons, Quireboys) is their new drummer.

With things really starting to build momentum after the release of their debut album 'Event Horizon', I AM I found themselves in need of a professional, talented drummer with the same desire, humour and passion for their music as they had, and it didn't take long before they found themselves the ideal man.

Following a chance meeting at a Claytown Troupe gig, ZP and Phil found they got along famously and once Phil had heard the album, he was in!

ZP Theart:
"We hadn't even started to look for a drummer yet but the first time I saw Phil playing, I knew he was the man for us. He's a great guy, really easy to work with and fitted straight into the band at first practice, & we're stoked he's now part of the I AM I team"

Metal guitar virtuoso XANDER DEMOS Reveals New Fan-Submitted Album Artwork

Metal guitar virtuoso, Xander Demos reveals the winning album artwork submission from his “Get My Guitarcadia Artwork On” contest.

Xander Demos and MTS Management Group, in association with Rock Growl Records, are pleased to announce the winning album artwork submission from Xander’s recent “Get My Guitarcadia Artwork On” contest. The contest ran for two weeks, during which fans were encouraged to submit their original designs for the re-release of Xander’s album, “Guitarcadia“. Entries were received from all corners of the world, with the winning entry coming from Sami Ahvenainen, a 23 year old graphic design student from Finland.

“I’m stunned! Speechless!” said Mr. Ahvenainen, owner of OneTwoTree Designs, which offers 100% free artwork to bands. “In the beginning my art was not free, but as time went on I figured that it is more inspiring – easier for me to create and help bands if my art was free”. A big “thank you” from the band is a good enough reward for me, I love music, I want to help out, and this is a great way for me to do so!”

“This artwork is badass!” said Xander. “I can’t wait to get the album out there with this new look. Congratulations and thank you, Sami!”

Xander Demos, is signed to Rock N Growl Records for exclusive worldwide digital distribution. His debut album, “Guitarcadia” was mixed and mastered by Firehouse frontman, CJ Snare. Xander Demos is also a member of the US East Coast chapter of Sabbath Judas Sabbath.
