TesseracT - Launch Video For "Nocturne" Continue Heavy Touring

TesseracT have posted their video for the track "Nocturne", taken from their critically acclaimed album, "Altered State". The video, directed by Ben Thornley for Sitcom Soldiers, can be seen here:

The band comments on the video: "As we haven't taken part in our promo videos for a while we felt now was the time to make an appearance. But, we also wanted to create a journey with the video that was similar to the journey portrayed by the music. A pretty straightforward step from the night, what it hides and the fear it generates, into the reassurance and safety of the dawn. We have always really liked the idea of creating silhouettes (we tried to something similar with our first video, "Deception"), so we decided upon using back lights for the majority of the video, which is then reversed when the feeling of the music changes towards the end of the track. We feel the guys at Sitcom Soldiers have really captured the mood of the song, and also produced a video that draws you in."

Ben Thornley who produced the video for Sitcom Soldiers: "Working with TesseracT for us was about capturing something which did a great song justice with a memorable performance, whilst providing an equally provocative atmospheric narrative. The band naturally looked great and the creative process went very smoothly and shows in the final video."

TesseracT are currently on a US tour with Katatonia, Cult of Luna and Intronaut and then immediately venture off in a headlining run with Scale the Summit throughout North America. Next up are Mexico, the UK with Karnivool as well as a trip to India. 2014 kicks off on the road with in Europe and UK with The Safety Fire, Protest The Hero and Intervals before TesseracT are part of the Soundwave Festival in Australia. A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH to Support Danzig on North American Tour

A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH have confirmed that they will be hitting the road this fall supporting Danzig.  APHND will appear alongside Texas Hippie Coalition and Butcher Babies on all dates.  The tour is set to kick off October 8th in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and run through October 31st in San Francisco, CA.  More dates may be added shortly.  Tickets go on sale for fan club members today and for the general public on Friday August 23rd and Saturday August 24th

A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH released their sophomore album Lay My Soul to Waste earlier this Spring via Steamhammer/SPV. Once again the artwork was commissioned by Sam Shearon, who is also responsible for artwork on the band's first release And Hell Will Follow MeLay My Soul to Waste can be ordered on Amazon on both CD and LP and digitally via iTunes.

On the surface, A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH are impressive. But you'll want to dig deeper and immerse yourself in all the sonic and lyrical layers, because the band isn't afraid to plume the depths of darkness that humanity is capable of.  It's murky stuff, but someone has to do it.

Sal Abruscato and Matt Brown have followed 2011's incredible introduction And Hell Will Follow Mewith Lay My Soul to Waste, which keeps the band's patented signature formula of slow, deliberate sludge and head-down doom intact and as flawlessly executed as ever.

Think Alice in Chains, only harder, angrier and with a more perverse view of the world, as if they were reared in a row house in Bensonhurst, as opposed to the rainy landscape of Seattle, all the while feasting on a steady diet of Black Sabbath records.

A PALE HORSE NAMED DEATH arrived with And Hell Will Follow Me. They have firmly implanted their roots in the metal scene with Lay My Soul to Waste. It's a metal album that headbangers who enjoy a walk on the darker side of life will end up revering and responding to.

TESSERACT Announces North America Headline Tour and Dates With Katatonia

August 2, 2013 (Los Angeles, CA) - UK Progressive rock band TesseracT will be returning to North America for two tours!  First the band will hit the road with Katatonia, Cult of Luna and Intronaut.  That tour begins September 23rd in Boston, MA and runs through October 7th in San Francisco, CA.

Immediately following their dates with Katatonia, TesseracT has announced a headline tour with support being provided by Scale the Summit and Anciients.  These shows kick off October 9th and Vancouver and are currently set to wrap on October 27th in Greensboro, NC.  More dates may be added in the coming weeks.

The band commented on their return to this side of the pond:

"North America! We're coming back. And for not 1, but 2 tours back to back. We've all been missing Cracker Barrel, and Timmy Ho's, so it's with great pleasure that we can announce that we will be touring your fair lands again. Ever since the first tour we did with DTP way back when Ashe was called Dan, you guys have always been so cool to us. A lot has changed since then, and we can't wait to show you what we've been showing the Europeans for the past year. Firstly we'll be on tour with Katatonia, Cult of Luna, and Intronaut, as part of the Uncrowned and Vertikal tour. This will be an intense evening of dark powerful prog. It's so cool to be apart of this bill as all 4 bands create a completely different yet compatible atmosphere. Then we'll start the Altered State tour, where we'll have support from Scale The Summit and Anciients. Two bands that stretch progressive music to its limits. All of this is great, but you know the best bit...French Toast. Everyday for 5 weeks. Maple Syrup. Bacon. TubberacT."

TesseracT's latest release Altered State came out earlier this year on Century Media Records.  The entering the Billboard Top 200 Chart at #94 as well as #88 on the Billboard Top Current Albums Chart and #4 on the Hard Music Chart.

A video for the song "Singularity" can be viewed HERE.

'Altered State' is divided into four movements: Of Matter, Of Mind, Of Reality and Of Energy, 'Altered State' represents the transformations that TESSERACT has gone through over the past few years.  The Law of Conservation of Energy states that: In a closed system energy is conserved, nothing is lost. It merely changes from one state to another.

'Altered State' was produced, mixed, mastered and engineered by TESSERACT guitarist, Acle Kahney, assisted by bassist, Amos Williams at Acle's 4D Sounds studio, and marks the first full release with new vocalist, Ashe O'Hara.
