SPIDER ROCKETS JOIN SALIVA IN OCTOBER

 

A week after releasing their first official video for "Going Down", Spider Rockets will hit the road with Saliva in the midwest and the south. "We haven't been on the road since our runs with Trapt earlier this spring," admits lead singer, Helena Cos; "...but we haven't visited the south in at least a couple of years! So that, along with Saliva being cool enough to share the stage with us is pretty awesome."

Spider Rockets has a new stage show consisting of various backdrops, a smoldering rocket ship, probing searchlight, whips, megaphone and a mannequin head. "The rocket ship will be a work in progress, hopefully we won't need to abort any missions!" jokes John Nap, the band's guitarist. "But the real challenge as an opening band has been coming up with staging that won't interfere with the headliner's space; one that is modular enough to adjust from venue to venue, but that also packs light... And I believe we've found it." John refers to a series self-standing vertical, retractable banners or scrims (neither, really) that can be extended, shortened, and rearranged depending on the size and configuration of the venue's stage. Bassist, Greg Manning, adds: "We just hope we don't end up with a 'Stone Henge' situation!"

The group also plans to bring along their four legged roadie/security guard, Lemmy, a 18 pound Dachshund with a bad attitude and a fierce appetite; "that little shit always sniffs out where I hide my meatball sub in the van," bitches drummer, Dan Prestup.

LITA FORD The Bitch is Back Live North American Release Date Moved to November 5th

 

The Bitch is Back...Live is a brand new live album from the queen of Hard Rock and Metal LITA FORD.  Hot on the heels of her TRUE comeback album "Living Like a Runaway", LITA took to the stage at the Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, California in early October of 2012 to showcase the new material as well as LITA FORD classics. Originally set for release October 22^nd in North America, the album will now be available November 5^th.

This killer show was recorded for the live album The Bitch is Back...Live.  Where does the title come from?  LITA opens the show with her rendition of the classic Elton John track "The Bitch is Back", which was previously released as a bonus track on "Living Like a Runaway".  It may be a strong proclamation, but it is true...the bitch is back and bringing it live.  Now fans have a chance to be a part of this memorable evening and performance.

The album will be released as a digipak with a special booklet including fan photos and download. Release dates are USA/Canada on November 5th, Germany on October 25th and Europe on October 28th through SPV/Steamhammer.

DEVILDRIVER Announces Second Leg of North American Co-Headline Tour With Trivium

 

The "California Groove Machine" DEVILDRIVER will be hitting the road tomorrow in support of their latest release Winter Kills.  This co-headlining run with Trivium features support from Sylosis and After The Burial and will run through October 17^th.  Tickets for these shows are available now.

Today DEVILDRIVER has announced a second leg of the North American Co-Headline tour with Trivium.  Support on this leg will come from After the Burial and Thy Will Be Done.  The dates begin November 5^th in Seattle and will run through December 14^th in San Diego, CA. 

Winter Kills is the sixth DEVILDRIVER studio album and their first for their new label home, Napalm Records.   Winter Kills hit charts all over the world, with some of the band's best chart numbers to date.  In North America, Winter Kills came in at #32 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart (The band's highest chart debut ever), #3 on the Billboard Hard Music Chart, #10 on the Billboard Rock Chart and #13 on the Billboard Independent Chart.

Winter Kills is available in four configurations including a Deluxe Digibook with CD (including two bonus tracks: "Shudder" and "Back Down to the Grave") and Live DVD (Featuring 40 minutes of live raw DEVILDRIVER power. No studio over dubs at all just the band at their best and includes fan favorites "Clouds over California" and "The Wretched"), standard CD version, digital version and for the first time in DEVILDRIVER history, a 2LP Gatefold edition. 

The band recorded the album in Florida at Audio Hammer Studios and vocals in Los Angeles, CA at Dez's home studio with Mark Lewis (Black Dahlia Murder, Whitechapel, All That Remains) handling production duties.  DEVILDRIVER has worked with Lewis previously on "Beast" and "The Last Kind Words" and producer Mark Lewis's prolific leadership of the new school of metal has yet again helped DEVILDRIVER deliver another epic heavy metal record.  This record melds what the band does best. In your face power as well as the California Groove sound the band pioneered.

HALCYON WAY Get Ready For North American Tour With Saxon and Fozzy - Debut New Video Online

  

HALCYON WAY are preparing to hit the road in North America with Saxon and Fozzy. The tour kicks off this Thursday September 12^th in Patchouge, NY and runs through October 19^th in Vancouver, BC.  A complete list of dates can be found below.

HALCYON WAY are currently in the final stages of mixing for their new album.  The band recently completed work on a video for the song "Web Of Lies".  The video received its exclusive premiere last weekend at the ProgPower USA XIV in Atlanta, GA.  The video can be seen online HERE.  

Guitarist Jon Bodan commented on the video and the upcoming tour:
